About Putting Children First
Putting Children First began eight years ago by Barbara Brunelli, M.Ed., a Human Services trainer with over 25 years’ experience in the field of child abuse and neglect. She has worked for the Massachusetts Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children and in the Domestic Violence Unit of the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office. She is an instructor for the Municipal Police Training Committee and trains in a variety of venues across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Barbara has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, obtained a Masters of Education degree in Counseling Psychology, and has trained under national leaders in the field of child abuse and neglect.
Ms. Brunelli is passionate about protecting children and feels strongly that although there will unfortunately always be child predators among us, we don’t have to make access to children easy for them! Better awareness and adequate training in sexual abuse prevention for all child serving organizations is an absolute necessity if we want to truly protect the most vulnerable members of our society…OUR CHILDREN!
